VA OST

The listing for the Vampire Academy Soundtrack, due for release on February 4, is out on Amazon [US/UK].

With a month left before the film is released, there have been many exciting developments in the “Vampire Academy” world.  A slew of new stills from the film have been popping up on the Internet and the final trailer is set for release on January 17. The premiere is scheduled for February 3 in Los Angeles and US residents can enter a competition to be Danila Kozlovsky’s date on the red carpet. Further, the film’s release date has been pre-poned by a week in Australia and the film is now releasing there on March 6 instead of March 14.

But without further ado, here are the songs listed on the VAMovie Soundtrack (subject to change).

1) Jaymes Bullet – In Your Grave

[UPDATE – February 1] This song has now been released and the explicit version is available on the artist’s SoundCloud. Listen to this really awesome track and make sure to leave a comment for the artist.

2) Sky Ferreira – Red Lips

3) Max Frost – Nice and Slow

4) Goldfrapp – Thea

5) Natalia Kills – Boys Don’t Cry

6) Iggy Azalea – Bounce

7) Bear In Heaven – Sinful Nature

8) Naughty Boy – Think About It

9) Rats – Rainy Milo

10) Katy Perry – Spiritual

11) Au Revoir Simone – Crazy

12) CHVRCHES – Bela Lugosi’s Dead

This cover of ”Bela Lugosi’s Dead” by CHVRCHES will be an exclusive version for the Vampire Academy soundtrack and we’ll have to wait until the release of the album to listen to it! According to Mark Waters, this song will play during the end credits of the film and he “dare[s] anyone to try walking out on the closing credits when their [Chvrches] version of Bela is playing!” In the meantime, you can check out the original song below by Bauhaus –

UPDATE – The song has been released on January 27, 2014 via CHVRCHES soundclound.

You can also listen to it on YouTube, below –

13.Goldfrapp – Felt Mountain

[UPDATED – January 29, 2014] The album is now available to pre-order from the iTunes store [US] and this album includes another song. A mostly instrumental, ethereal and calming tune, Goldfrapp’s previously released Felt Mountain. It is unknown if this song will be included in the CD version of the album. Listen to the song below

The following is the description given about the forthcoming album on Amazon –

This eclectic soundtrack to the major motion picture VAMPIRE ACADEMY brings together the music from the movie including tracks by Katy Perry, Goldfrapp, Naughty Boy, Iggy Azalea, Sky Ferreira and many more. It’s also the only album to include the unforgettable end credit track, a cover of the Bauhaus song ‘Bella Lugosi is Dead’ by indie darlings CHVRCHES.

Seems like the VAMovie soundtrack has everything, from Pop to Alternative and Indie to Hip Hop. Further, as director Mark Waters indicated back in October at NYCC that there would be at least one original song (Jaymes Bullet – In Your Grave) and a cover song (CHVRCHES – Bela Lugosi is Dead), so could the songs indicated in the brackets be those songs?

Which song is your favourite from the Soundtrack?
