Posted on Updated on

oikos-superteaser-hed-2014

Yes, you read that right Full House fans, the cast of late 80s to 90s sitcom are reuniting for an advertisement to be played during the Superbowl game this Sunday. The advertisement is for Dannon’s Oikas Greek yoghurt and while John Stamos has appeared in many of their advertisements, here he will be reunited with his former Full House cast mates Bob Saget and Dave Coulier and together Uncle Jesse, Danny and Joey will be on your TV screens again! Check out the teaser below –

Here is another ad featuring the three of them where Uncle Jesse is up to no good!

The three real life friends appeared on “Good Morning America” this morning and talked about the upcoming commercial as well as their memories from the show. John Stamos said that he remembered his catchphrase “Have Mercy!” and Bob Saget talked about how he used the phrase “Ah Nuts!” that was used by the Olsen twins on the show. Dave Coulier talked about how the three still hang out together and only last week, the three friends visited Dave at his home and hung out in his backyard. John also showed off his easy to remove pants and underwear from the commercial.

Later that night, the gang appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and performed a skit in which Danny had to comfort Jimmy (who took over the role usually played by one of the daughters on the show) who was upset about moving on to The Tonight Show. He was joined by Uncle Jesse and Joey who reenacted some of their famous acts like Jesse’s singing and Joey’s funny jokes. The skit referenced back to many of the shows most memorable moments such as Danny’s mention of “Good Morning San Francisco”, Jesse’s mentioning “Jesse and the Rippers” and singing a song as well as Joey bringing on that Popeye laugh. The cherry on the cake was the decor of the room which clearly takes us back to the girls’ rooms.

If that skit didn’t make you nostalgic, then you need to go re-watch the show. We wish the other stars could have come back for the reunion on the commercial, but more than that we wish they could all come together for a reunion episode. All of us are need that reunion … and we desperately also need a Friends reunion!

Israeli model and actress Gal Gadot will be playing the iconic role of Wonder Woman in the 2015 upcoming Batman Vs. Superman film to be directed by Zack Snyder. She will star along side Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman and Ben Affleck who has been cast as Batman.

Gal, 28, has also appeared in three Fast and Furious films (4, 5 and 6) as well as in Date Night and Knight and Day.

Zack Snyder said that:

Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.

Wonder Woman, also Diana of Themyscira, is an Amazon princess with super powers including strength, speed, agility, stamina, flight and healing. Her weapons include the Lasson of Truth, the Tiara of telepathy, indestructible bracelets and a magical sword. Lynda Carter portrayed The character in the first live action television series which ran from 1975 to 1979. Subsequent revival of a television series for the character was unsuccessful.

It had been speculated earlier that along with Gadot, G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘s Elodie Yung and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko were being considered for the role.

There are also rumours that another DC Comics hero, Flash, will make an appearance in the film which is slated to release on July 17, 2015. The producers are also looking to cast the film’s villain. Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2014 with Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne returning in their roles.

Okay, let’s talk about Reign.

New to The CW, this period drama follows Mary, Queen of Scots, as she moves to the French court to wed her future husband, Francis, the Kings’ heir.

And the fandom is getting bigger by the minute, so let’s take a look at this new hit series.

Here’s what you need to know:

It’s set in 16th century France.

Mary is the Queen of Scotland, and is engaged to Francis, who will be the King of France.

She has 4 besties, her ladies-in-waiting. And all girls are looking for love.

There’s a mystery woman by the name of Clarissa hiding in the Court.

Nostradamus has visions of the future. He predicts Mary will bring about Francis’ death.

The Queen is opposed to Mary and Francis’ union, and will kill to stop it.

Someone is making sacrifices in the woods.

Familiar faces:

Mary is played by Adelaide Kane, who recently co-starred with Tyler Hoechlin as Derek’s sister, Cora Hale, on MTV’s Teen Wolf.

Lola, one of Mary’s best friends, is none other than Susan from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Kenna, another one of Mary’s close friends, starred in The Sleepover Club as Frankie on Nickelodeon.

Colin, who appears in the first few episodes, also plays naughty Moroi, Jesse Zeklos, in the upcoming vampire adaptation, Vampire Academy.

Potential ships:

Frary – Francis and Mary’s chemistry is undeniable. OTP, anyone?

And the new Batman is here!

Will the latest Batman please stand up!

We have seen many avatars of Batman through the ages and the vigilantee crusader has been represented in media by notable faces such as Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and more recently, Christian Bale in The Dark Knight trilogy. After The Dark Knight Rises, Bale hung up his batsuit and decided to move on to other projects!

However, at Comic-Con this July, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder unveiled plans for the sequel to the Summer hit and shocked audiences worldwide when the screen behind him popped up with the two symbols of Batman and Superman … together! The word went crazy at the thought of a Superman Vs Batman movie!

Warner Bros announced the plans for the sequel, that it would indeed feature the two superheroes and would be released in 2015, with production due to start in early 2014. Soon, rumours and speculation flew around as to who would play Batman in this new movie with a potential Justice League spin-off. Names were thrown around from Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) to Armie Hammer (who stars opposite Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) and back to Christian Bale who was rumoured to have been offered US$ 60 million to reprise his role.

All rumours were put to rest last night, as the latest Batman was announced, and fangirls and boys, it is … drumroll … Ben Affleck!

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck’s last outing as a superhero, Marvel’s Daredevil, did not fare well … but here is hoping that his latest avatar as Batman will charm movie goers! He certainly has the brooding look and the chiselled jawline to play Batman, even though he wasn’t an obvious choice!

Can we handle this double dose of hotness on our screens? Just as a reminder – Superman (Henry Cavill) looks like this –

Henry Cavill in Man of Steel, as Clark Kent, left, and as Superm

What do you guys think of Ben Affleck as Batman?

Stay tuned as the movie goes into production in early 2014 (soon after Superman himself, Henry Cavill, finishes filming The Man From U.N.C.L.E.). Superman Vs Batman is slated for release on July 17, 2015!
