Official Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Posted on Updated on

After months of teasing and weeks of anticipation, we finally have an epic, goosebumps-inducing trailer for next Summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Watch the trailer below in HD.

The film’s synopsis reads as follows,

With the emergence of Electro, Spider-Man must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, Peter Parker comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The trailer starts off with Spider-Man doing a free fall into the city of New York and continues to show his journey as he battles villains, discovers secrets, meets new friends and connects with Gwen. The trailer ends with the tagline “His greatest battle begins.”

1

Just another day for Spider-Man as he free-dives into the city …

2

… contemplates his actions while sitting high up, overlooking the skyline …

[We are loving this view too Andy … I mean Spidey!]

5

… causing traffic jams …

7

… dodging bullets …

3

… and saving the day. You see, just another day folks!

Oh and finally meeting up with his lady friend, Gwen. [We ship these two so much!]

8

Enter old friend, Harry Osborn. He may be a cutie, but we sense something sinister in his eyes!

27

I mean, just look at him, that charm, that smile … he must be a bad boy and bad boys have all the fun!

18

Peter looks to Aunt May for answers, who gives us a memorable line “Secrets have a cost, the truth does too!”

10

Peter sets out to discover the truth and finds his father’s videos.

28

His father says that OsCorp wanted to use his research and they did not have good intentions, so he felt it was his duty to protect the world from what they could be capable of. [Also … comic book Sinister Six nod in the still above.]

22

But Harry literally wants to change the world …

19

Oh OsCorp, as usual you guys are up to no good!

Enter these three bad guys – The Rhino, Green Goblin and Electro!

23

And so the mayhem begins!

13

Peter must make his choices, no matter the cost. *sobs*

20

And these are hard times, for Electro wants to plunge everyone in darkness and also destroy Spider-Man!

24

GOOSEBUMPS, YOU GUYS! I HAVE GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER!

25

Gwen is in trouble – I do not like this!!!

26

But looks like Spider-Man will save her and the day … right? right? RIGHT?

11

You guys, I love this still, it looks like it is straight out of the pages of a comic book!

4

I like this suit … What’s up Spidey? How you doin’?

21

It’s still a long time to go for the film, but it’s going to be one hell of a wait!

The film stars Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Paul Giamatti as The Rhino, Sally Field as May Parker, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, Marton Csokas as Dr. Kafka, Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson and Denis Leary as Captain George Stacey.

The film still has about six months of post production work to complete and will be released on the weekend of May 3, 2014. There may be a whole lot of sceptics out there as far as the reboot is concerned, but I’m really enjoying Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man and can’t wait to see the film next Summer.

Are you excited for the sequel?

5 Movies We Can’t Wait To See

So, we’re into Fall now, but there’s still plenty of incredible films that will be hitting our cinema screens before the year ends! And here are the ones we’re especially excited for.

5. Carrie

Divergent and TFiOS’s Ansel Elgort, and Kick Ass’ Chloe Grace Moretz star in this remake of the 1976 horror of the same name. Based on the novel, expect lots of gore and well, psychological powers.

4. Ender’s Game

Stellar cast and aliens, what more could you want? Could this be the return of science-fiction?

3. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Of course, the much-anticipated Hobbit sequel makes our list. And with Orlando Bloom returning? I’m there.

2. Thor: The Dark World

If the new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D hasn’t gotten you all riled up for this action, then Chris Hemsworth will. (Can we just fangirl over his arms for a second?) Thor, and of course, the lovable Loki return to save Earth from its latest alien threat in this Marvel sequel.

1. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Returning Shows

New Girl

The show returned for a third season last week, picking right where it left off, with Nick and Jess riding off, Schmidt avoiding a confrontation when asked to choose between Elizabeth (recent Emmy winner Merritt Wever) and Cece, who just called off her wedding, and Winston being Winston.

Will you be tuning in for the third encore?

Chicago Fire

Firefighters. Fighting. Fire. And Taylor Kinney (Uncle Mason on The Vampire Diaries).

Enough said. Will you be able to resist the second season?

Person of Interest

Jim Caviazel (Passion of the Christ) plays an ex-CIA officer and Michael Emerson (Ben on Lost) plays a mysterious billionaire. Shizz goes down! Catch up on the last two seasons and watch the third season of this highly rated show.

(Promising) New Shows

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This highly anticipated TV show picks off right after the events of last year’s The Avengers, resurrecting Agent Phil Coulson as he puts together a small team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to handle strange cases. This was created by Joss Whedon, enough reason to tune in!

Brooklyn-Nine-Nine

This comedy stars Andy Samberg as a laid-back NYPD detective, who is told he must grow up and “respect the badge” by his new strict, by-the-book type boss played by Andre Braugher. The show made its debut last week, so be sure to catch up before tonight’s episode. Still not convinced, check out this funny trailer below!

Other returning shows include the two NCIS shows and The Mindy Project. Some other new shows include a whole lot of comedies called Dads (starring Seth Green), The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife (starring Malin Akerman) and a drama Lucky 7, none of which actually looked interesting to us! But let us know if you’ll be watching them!
