“The Fault in our Stars” Starts Filming Today!

The book everyone has been raving about, “The Fault in our Stars by John Green”, starts shooting its film adaptation today, August 26, 2013.

The blurb on the cover of the young adult book describes the story as

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a patient named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

The film stars Shailene Woodley as Hazel Lancaster, Ansel Elgort as Augustus Waters, Nat Wolff as Isaac with Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) and Sam Tramell (True Blood‘s Sam Merlott) taking on the role of Hazel’s parents.

Josh Boone is directing the film, which will be shooting in Pittsburgh as well as in Amsterdam.
