All rejoice, the American Fall TV shows are back and the calendar this season is jam-packed! Some shows made their return (New Girl, Bones) or debut (Sleepy Hollow, Brooklyn-Nine-Nine) last week, and some will return (The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Supernatural) and make their debut (The Originals, Reign) next week.

We are a day late (or a week late in case of Bones and Sleepy Hollow), but we are here to help you catch up with you favourite Monday night TV shows and the new shows you should catch up on! (Spoilers from last season ahead)

Returning Shows

How I Met Your Mother

The final season of this long running favourite returned last night with two episodes, picking off from the last season finale where they revealed the ”mother” with her yellow umbrella. Last season also ended with the futures of the gang hanging as Marshall was offered the position of a judge that he wanted right when Lily was packing up their lives to move to Italy for a year for her new position as art consultant to The Captain. And while Barney and Robin were prepared to tie the knot, Ted was still undecided about his feelings for Robin … as usual!

Final season, final round, will you return to watch the gang as it all goes down?

2 Broke Girls

At the end of last season, the girls barely had US$ 1540 to their name but had found the perfect place in the backrooms of the diner to sell their cupcakes from!

Follow the antics of the girls and the gang, in this campy, cheesy and yet provider of ”guilty pleasure” of a show! Will you be tuning in?

Castle

At the end of last season, Beckett was offered a coveted position in Washington DC and we think she was ready to take it, until Castle got down on one knee and proposed to her at the park! Imagine our distress when the screen cut to black and we were left hanging for 5 months!

Castle returned with its sixth season yesterday. What do you think Beckett’s decision was?

Bones

The team are back in Season 9 – I still have to catch up on all that went down last season – but who can say no to David Boreanaz? We know we can’t, can you? The show returned last week, so there are two new episodes to catch up on!

The Voice

The 2013 Emmy Award winning reality show returns with Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton looking for talented voices from across a sea of contestants! Will you be watching?

(Promising) New Shows

Sleepy Hollow

This new series made its debut last week and it is a “modern-day retelling” of the 1820 short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. Starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, the show follows character Ichabod Crane as he dies in the 1781 only to awaken in 2013! The show debuted to great numbers and is one of the promising shows of the new season! Will you be tuning in?

The Blacklist

The show stars James Spader (Boston Legal) as a convicted criminal who decides to help the FBI on once condition, that he will speak with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) only. The Blacklist doesn’t have much riding for it, but it could just work. Will you be tuning in?

Other Monday debuts this week include Chuck Lorre comedy Mom starring Anna Faris which seems funny except for that horrid laugh track, and drama Hostages starring Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott, but despite the stellar cast, it just doesn’t get there!

So there you have it, Monday night rounded up for you … stay tuned for a Tuesday night preview, coming to you shortly!
